I am a wife, Mom to two precocious tots and a Certified Master Gardener. Gardening is my therapy and one of my greatest joys. I make mistakes of course, but do my best to learn from them and move forward with as much grace as muddy jeans will allow.

Double-Edged Sword
The sun has been in hiding for the last few days. And it's been raining cats and dogs for nearly 12 hours. Great for my rain barrels, trees, shrubs and lawn. Awful for my new seedlings. Devoid of necessary sunshine, they've started falling over. A few even got beaten down by the rain. I feel so frustrated and very tempted to purchase a few small tomato and bell pepper bushes instead of starting over. :(

All the buggers finally died. I ended up replanting the seeds, a quarter-inch deeper, and am watering with my daughter's Dora the Explorer watering can to better control the water spray. So far so good.
