I am a wife, Mom to two precocious tots and a Certified Master Gardener. Gardening is my therapy and one of my greatest joys. I make mistakes of course, but do my best to learn from them and move forward with as much grace as muddy jeans will allow.

Loss
One of our neighborhood fawns was found dead on my neighbor's lawn this afternoon. We're guessing it was sick and separated from the pack. I spotted the Mom in the area twice today. I guess she was checking on her baby.
Our little fawn may not be dead afterall. Before Animal Control arrived, the fawn disappeared. Animal Control explained to us Suburbanites that it may have been bedding; a restful period for newborns. Which would explain why the Mom kept hanging around. Ode to Joy!
